Mooove Dooor | Salone del Mobile
Dooor | Exhibition | 2026

The stand—white and empty—is dominated by a single large central volume, also white. On the final day of setup, two performers begin to deconstruct it: what seemed like a compact body unfolds into individual pieces of furniture with primary, almost abstract forms—a chair, a sofa, a table, a bed, a bookcase. Slowly, the actors arrange these elements, constructing a lived-in space.

Marking the rhythm are Dooor textile partitions, clad
in a vivid green vinyl fabric: theatrical wings of a
constantly moving stage machine, allowing also the opposite gesture—to
recombine the space and return it to its original uniformity. The stand becomes
the representation of a flexible architecture, capable of adapting to the needs
of those who inhabit it. A line of inquiry that runs through modernity, from
Gio Ponti’s domestic experiments to the radical visions of Joe Colombo and the
projects of Gianfranco Frattini.
The performance will be recorded and presented
to the public on multiple screens throughout the event. Visitors will be
invited to explore the scenographic space, activating an architecture that does
not impose definitive solutions but evolves alongside people’s lives.
