Dooor Playscape | Salone del Mobile
Dooor | Exhibition | 2024
L’allestimento “Playscape” per Dooor è ispirato all’omonimo parco realizzato dallo scultore e designer Isamu Noguchi.
gioco urbani».
verso altezze vertiginose.
The installation “Playscape” for Dooor is inspired by the homonym park created by
the sculptor and designer, Isamu Noguchi. «It’s a self-supporting reticular
structure – explain the architects – which unfolds throughout the space and
generates an immersive three-dimensional graphic effect, loosely inspired by
the lines of urban playgrounds».
Within “Playscape”, the folding door becomes a
technical marvel: it outlines the exhibition route with a sequence of materialsanging from velvet to faux leather; it guides the three senses of sight, touchand hearing with its iridescent surfaces, inviting you to discover the space
in one seamless flow.
The curve’s lightness is contrasted by the structure’s
solidity, which reaches a height of no less than five metres:
a challenging
statement.
“Playscape” embodies the legacy of the brand’s craftsmanship and
the product offers multiple technical possibilities. The ambience created isaccentuated by the theatricality of the numbers,
illuminated elements which,
as a tribute to Mario Merz, mark the towering folding door to dizzying heights.
